The Frick Estate Project

In the early 1900’s Prides crossing was developed by wealthy businessmen for their summer retreats. Henry Clay Frick was one of the wealthiest summer residents, making his fortune in the steel business. Henry’s lands, like most other estates, were eventually broken up and sold. A home located on one section of his original garden, now owned by a delightful couple, was recently updated and we were fortunate enough to work with them.

The Dutch colonial is set behind a stone fence with a circular driveway. When you walk into the home the entry foyer has a grand feeling with light pouring in from the back. A two story ceiling and elegant chandler accent the detailed wrought iron stair railings. The floor is tiled in an elegant porcelain that replicates honed and filled travertine stone.

The open concept first floor has a smooth flow that leads you to the stunning chevron stone mosaic around the fireplace and along the kitchen backsplash. Entertaining won’t be hard here with a generous size island and French doors that open up to the gardens and pool. On the same floor is a simple guest bath with cool tones and bright hues certain to impress family and friends.

Once upstairs, there is a large landing with a master suite to the right and two spare rooms, all with large walk-in closets. The master suite is unique with its original fireplace renovated in hand printed marble sourced by our partners at Stone Impressions. The master bath has a modern vibe filled with large format porcelains and glass accent tiles. The full guest bath is perfect for everyday use. The lovely grey porcelain tile adds just enough hue to the space, keeping it bright and airy. The tub surround is simple yet sophisticated with a beautiful marble accent running across all three walls.

We had the pleasure working with some amazing companies.
